With Recollection my idea was to create an archive related to a place, in this case the place where my father grew up. I decided to collect all the photos, videos and media I could find, from the sixties to the present day, to tell the story of my family in that place from different perspectives. I've always had a strong attachment to my origins and to telling the story of the small village in particular, so I thought it would be nice to pay homage to it.The archival part is divided in four categories: through my eyes, all the photos I’ve taken, either with my phone or with my analog camera through the years; through someone elses, all the memories and accounts form other, photos and videos taken by family members; digital; analog; The super8 videos have been taken by my relatives, starting from the 60's, but in the archives it's possible to browse also through recent photos.
This project is thought as a website, but it was exhibited in an IGLOO 360 room in the Aalto University.
